Fluidity of a moving Art

When you hear the name Jeffrey Rogador, what comes to mind is an established young Filipino designer known for his work of art, each creation is indeed an art.

The 2011 Spring Summer Collection of Rogador is another proof of how designing clothes is not a mere profession but a passion. The 30-piece collection of Rogador in this year’s Spring Summer Philippine Fashion Week is a myriad of artistic interpretation. The tapestry of fabrics with different treatments such as bleaching and top stitching matched with the innovative use of denim fabrics created what we now can call a moving art. Similar to a popular line in Memoirs of Geisha, Geisha means artist, to be a Geisha is to be judged as a moving work of art, you will see in Jeff’s Men’s Collection a similar fluidity of forms and fabric treatments, creating an illusion of a moving art.

Adding to its aesthetics is the versatility of his work as seen in his key pieces such as a reversible jacket that can be a good alternative for your regular office suits, coats or blazers. Jeff uplifts the use of various denims in blue, black and gray above and beyond the casual rugged get-up to formal and more corporate appropriate look for that metropolitan and urban style. Some pieces still maintain his signature sporty look but with an edge.

The Women’s Collection on the other hand exudes the sense of ritual with the use of recurring styles, folds and the unexpected textures. Wearing one of Jeff’s unique jackets or his high-fashion coats will automatically put you on the Best Dressed List this Summer.

To complete his collection Jeff is staging the show with the popular retail brand MOSSIMO providing bags, eyewear and underwear, shoes by Pony and Storm London for watches. Mobee Show helped Jeff with a fashion film to showcase his vision for his latest collection.
